Hi, I’m Cheryl! My most favorite human beings call me mama, auntie, sister, daughter, and friend. I am a wonderer, a wanderer, and a life-long writer who is only recently becoming a sharer. I am a lover of the outdoors and moving my body. I feel most alive when I combine the two…especially in my beloved Washington mountains.

I often feel as though I belong everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I’m just a small town girl (living in a lonely wo-orld…shout out to my BFFs!) who has spent the past 39 years discovering how to thrive outside the deceptive peace of my comfort zone. I married the love of my life at 22 and adulted for over 15 years of house building, baby having, and business running before divorce transitioned our marriage into the beautiful friendship it is today.
I consistently immerse myself within a variety of different worlds and float back and forth between those I most resonate with. My interests include natural birth, mountaineering, clairvoyance, sports, farming, food, architecture, natural building, peaceful parenting, improv, thru-hiking, weight lifting, and anything that involves authentic connection with other human beings. I have yet to determine what I want to be when I grow up and I have come to terms with the fact that for me, this will be a constantly evolving process. I find that the juciest parts of life exist in the cracks and crevices between the illusions of the normal and I live by only a few rules: love first and always, never say never, and everything deserves an “ish,” especially when time is a factor.
I was recently dropped off at the Mexican border and am currently hiking my way home via the Pacific Crest Trail. My intent is to use this space to share the varied thoughts and observations that pop into my brain as I journey through this epic life adventure. Thank you for sharing it with me!
